How to Choose the Right Program

Your life can be dramatically impacted by a music education. Along with the self-esteem gained from learning a new instrument, you'll acquire self-confidence from performing and self-discipline through regular study and practice. Music will introduce you to new people, new places, and experiences.

The greatest musicians of our time have enthralled us with their gift by combining passion with skill. Interest is always a key factor in choosing the right program for you. If you have expressed an interest in playing an instrument, singing, or are passionate about music but unsure where to start, we would recommend our Aptitude Music Program. Through a six-week program on piano, keyboard, voice or guitar, you will have an opportunity to discover if you have found the right medium for your musical expression. If you aren't successful selecting your instrument on the first try, don't be discouraged. Each student is unique and sometimes it takes time to find an instrument that feels just right.

A child's age and level of development is another factor to consider. Musically speaking, young children need to learn to walk before they can run. By involving young children in special music programs that nurture music appreciation and develop basic music skills, they will be more capable and interested when they are ready to begin formal training on an instrument. On the other hand, older children and adults will usually know what instrument they would like to try and can begin private instruction right away.
