Tauber Music Festival
Since 1981, we have hosted an annual celebration of music The Tauber Music Festival. Each year, over 800 students perform solos on piano, guitar, keyboard and voice. An adjudicator hears each performance and provides students with a verbal and written critique. All performers receive an award of recognition for the effort involved in preparing a musical performance. Awards are also given to the top musicians in each class.
Along with an opportunity to recognize the progress our students have made in their music studies, the Tauber Music Festival provides students with valuable performance experience. In addition to enhancing their music education, it also helps them develop confidence and poise when performing before an audience.
Music Exams
Music exams are an excellent way for you to validate your music studies. Music exams ensure that you have properly completed the learning process for your grade or program before proceeding to the next level.
Parents benefit by knowing that their child is being properly instructed and can be confident that she or he is progressing in their music studies.
Teachers benefit by receiving an objective evaluation from another professional and can use this information to sharpen their teaching skills.
Students have a sense of accomplishment and can take pride in successfully preparing and executing a music exam. The exam results will also provide you with a clear understanding of your strengths and weaknesses as you move ahead to the challenges of the next level.

Student Recitals
Along with the pride involved in sharing your gift of music, you’ll have an opportunity to receive support and encouragement from your friends, relatives and music peers as they celebrate your talents.
Winnipeg Music Festival
Founded in 1919, the Winnipeg Music Festival attracts music students from Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, and the northern United States. Tauber Music is proud of its’ students who participate in this annual Winnipeg tradition.
Children’s Hospital Fundraiser
Every two years Tauber Music students hold a "Play-A-Song" Fundraiser in support of the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital Foundation Child Life Programs. Participating students choose a special song that they learn and dedicate to a patient at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. Students then work to secure pledges from family and friends. During a chosen week in December, students perform their songs in the music school and donate the money they have raised.
Since 2001, Tauber Music students have raised and presented $10,804.00 to the Music Therapy Program at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. This money has been used to purchase equipment and to support programs for patients of the Music Therapy Program.
